Us?

We are an Employment Advocacy firm that represents employees in personal grievances and other employment related issues. We balance the scales in employment disputes and take great pride from our work in assisting our clients secure equitable outcomes. We proudly cover the entire country and are extraordinarily busy.

We value our Values and believe we bring a lot more than just advice and solutions to the employment landscape. We understand employment is far more than just a job and that it often defines us. If things aren’t going well at work, it can have a profound impact.

We are flexible to your needs and restrictions. We get family and activities and understand that you’ll need to be elsewhere at times. Having said that, the successful applicant would need to be available until 5 pm daily.

We are growing and need more stars to join our team. That’s why we need you. There are ten of us with an expectation this will be 50% higher in six months.

You?

You will ideally have customer service experience. Maybe even have worked in HR before or a law firm.

You will need to have an interest in helping people, as this role is all about that.

You will need to have an interest in employment law and be keen to develop your knowledge.

You will need the ability to communicate with a diverse client base. You will also need strong communication skills – specifically the ability to draw out and retain information.

You will need to be confident and be able to work in a fast paced environment.

You will need to have a bucket load of initiative and be a quick learner.

You will need to be able to self-manage your workload, but also work as part of a team and be super organised.

You will have a strong value base and be empathetic. We deal with people who are often under great strain so you will need to caring and be able to work effectively under pressure.

You will be motivated to succeed and have a strong work ethic.

You will have a great sense of humour and an open approach.

You will have a strong personality and add much to our team culture.

What?

Plainly put you will be the first port of call for clients from across New Zealand who have suffered unjustified actions, mostly dismissals and other bad treatment in their workplace.

You will be attending to client queries, assessing their situation, and guiding them to a solution for their issue. Sometimes it will be general advice, others you will commence the grievance process for them.

Well this will depend on you. Some people like incentives and/or bonuses. Some people don’t.

You might like a salary or an hourly rate. You might work part-time or full.

You may be highly experienced and bring a tremendous amount to the table. You may be young but filled with drive, a capacity to learn and filled with zeal.

The point is we will tailor your package to you.
